'Little J' Red is a bistro blend of red grapes commonly found in the Cotes du Rhone in France. Unpretentious and easy-going, without sacrificing quality.
+ GRAPES: Certified organic. Blend of 49% Syrah, 45% Cinsault 4% Mourvedre, 1% Touriga Nacional, 1% Grenache.
+ PROFILE: Bistro wine! Dry, medium body. Plush. Red berries, red + black plum, dusty raspberry, fresh leather, black pepper - and light spice on the tail. Give me 10 minutes in the fridge to come to cellar temperature.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Dry-farmed, hand harvested. Vinified in 53% used oak, and 47% stainless steel. Light filtration. A mere 1.4g residual sugar renders this a dry red.
+ REGION: A selection of vineyards in the Paarl appelation in Western Cape, South Africa.
+ FUN FACT: The Myburgh family has a history of both winemaking and pig farming, hence the little guy that graces the label.
