+ GRAPES: Organic blend of mostly Huxelrebe, plus some parts Weissburgunder, Kerner, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer.
+ PROFILE: Dry, light-bodied orange wine. Almost delicate - textural and aromatic. Dried cantaloupe, tangerine blossom, orange oil, grapefruit pith. Bright acidity and quite fresh.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: 10 days skin contact. Vinified in a combination of stainless steel and used oak barrels. No fining or filtration [vegan]. Cloudy and textural. At 10.5% ABV, this is super sessionable.
+ FUN FACT: P.S. What the heck is Huxelrebe? It's a German grape variety, the result of a Georg Scheu crossing of Chasselas and Courtillier Musqué (Muscat Précoce de Saumur) in 1927. And there you have it :)
