'Rosso' in name only, as that moniker belies the wonderful complexity of what's in the bottle: pure, expressive Sangiovese.
+ GRAPE: 100% Sangiovese. Grown in two parcels on the edge of the Chianti Classico zone.
+ PROFILE: Dry. Medium body. Wildflower nose, followed by fresh cherries, red berries, orange blossom, bay leaves, and perfectly balanced acidity. We could drink this every day! Light chill 10-15 mins in the fridge.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Biodynamic farming. Hand-harvested grapes, partially destemmed. Wild yeast fermentation, vinified entirely in concrete to keep things fresh. No fining or filtration, and low sulfur just at bottling.
+ PAIRINGS: Equally at home with steak or red-sauce dishes and pizza. Quite lovely all on its own, too!
