This is a slightly wild vino tinto Gallego, with a rustic personality. Ideal to pair with fatty meats, pungent cheeses, and wild game. 'A Mallada' comes from an old vineyard in Seadur, located in Galicia, Spain.
The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and wild-yeast fermented in 400L tinajas (amphora) and used French barriques with eight days of maceration. Bottled without fining, filtration or added sulfites.
