An exceptional value from an old-school producer, making Beaujolais of yesteryear.
+ GRAPE: 100% sustainably grown Gamay from vines ranging from 40-100 years old.
+ PROFILE: Medium body. A bit serious, with elements of dried violets, blackberries, and raspberry tisane. The finish has the suggestion of mulling spice, and a mineral streak throughout. Benefits from a light decant and slight chill.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: Hand-harvested grapes. Wild yeast. Half-carbonic maceration, spending six days in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Unfined, unfiltered. Bottled with a minimum of sulfur.
