+ GRAPES: Field blend of ~ 60% Nebbiolo, 30% Barbera, 5% Vespolina, and 5% Uva Rara. Sustainably grown by a cooperative of families in the communes of Gattinara, Lozzolo, Roasio, and Romagnano Sesia in the Alto Piemonte region of Italy.
+ PROFILE: Dry. Light-medium body, balanced acidity. Classic. Violets, red fruit, earthy cherry, strawberry seed tannins.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: The grapes are harvested together from the vineyards of participating cooperative families, then co-fermented. Hand-harvested, destemmed, wild yeast. Stainless steel tanks for fermentation, finished in cement tanks for secondary fermentation. Keeps things fresh, yet honest and delightfully rustic.
+ FUN FACT: This blend is a house-wine favorite of Gattinara locals! They are lucky enough to fill up their jugs with the best vino 'sfuso' around!
