This otherworldly orange channels Sicilian summer.
+ GRAPE: 100% Zibibbo. Biodynamic. Grown in Menfi, on the southwest coast of Sicily by woman winemaker, Marilena Barbera. A mere 218 bottles produced.
+ PROFILE: Dry, elegant, savory. Orange blossom out the gate, followed by wild herbs, honeycomb, lemon, and a rich tapestry of exotic notes: incense, saffron, cumin. Bright, saline finish. Enjoy off-chilled for max pleasure.
+ FUNDAMENTALS: The grapes spend one week on the skins in large, used-oak barrels for fermentation. Aging is five months on the lees. Neither fined nor filtered. Low sulfites.
+ PAIRINGS: Lovely on its own. Lends itself to raw or tinned seafood of all sorts, including bold flavors such as bottarga or sea urchin pasta. A natural with sushi.
